We are pleased to invite you to the festive launch of the book 'Telesma' by Laurien Renckens. This beautiful publication celebrates the latest series of artworks by Renckens that were inspired by her trip to Kenya. The book includes all 99 Telsema works and has been realized in collaboration with 99 Uitgevers/Publishers and Project 2.0 / Gallery.
99 Telesmas
After her trip to Kenya in January 2023, Renckens created a new series of 99 works of art on paper. It is an investigation into color and form constructed with spray paint and acrylic, inspired by the attitude of the Kenyans. In these works, Renckens examines which colors enhance each other and translates them into a form that radiates strength and authenticity; Telesmas, good luck charms. When purchasing a Telesma artwork, you will receive the publication as a gift.
On Sunday the 24th of March at 3:00 PM Renckens will hand the first book to good friend Jos Hermens who encouraged her to travel to Kenya. She will tell us more about the Telesmas and the making of the publication. Afterwards there will be drinks until 5:00 PM to celebrate this special event.
