We are delighted to announce that in April 2026 Lisanne Hoogerwerf will participate in the third edition of Affordable Art Fair Berlin, as part of De Galerie Den Haag's stand at the fair.
This international art fair presents over 65 local, national and international galleries and brings together thousands of contemporary artworks under one roof.
The vision of Affordable Art Fair is to make the art world more accessible: reducing barriers, reaching new audiences, and encouraging more people to buy art. All works at the fair are priced between €100 and €10,000, allowing both first-time and experienced collectors to find a piece that suits them.
During the fair, visitors can discover a wide and diverse range of contemporary art in a relaxed atmosphere, complemented by a full and engaging programme.
About Lisanne Hoogerwerf:
Hoogerwerf constructs her landscapes on a small scale, using everyday materials such as wood, sand, cardboard, paint, and light sources. Tiny lamps, concealed beams of light, and carefully shaped shadows do not simply illuminate the image; they lend it spatial depth and a sense of presence that extends beyond the flat surface into the surrounding space, forming an installative condition.
For Hoogerwerf, photography is a means of capturing something inherently fleeting—moments in which light, form, and chance reach a fragile equilibrium. Once photographed, these worlds are dismantled and returned to fragments, leaving behind only the photograph as a quiet testimony to something that once physically existed but has now disappeared.
