METAMORPHOSES

‘Everything changes, nothing perishes'
Pythagoras (ca. 570 – ca. 495 VC)

From the 9th of September until the 7th of October 2018 Project 2.0 / Gallery will show the solo exhibition Metamorphoses. The exhibition will show brand new artworks of Linda Overzee and at the same time celebrates the 10 year anniversary of Project 2.0 / Gallery!

The artworks of Linda Overzee participate in the age-old tradition of fresco mural painting. With pure pigments and lime she creates monumental, colourful frescoes on canvas. A unique process with remarkable results.

The fresco's are composed of numerous layers. of craquelé and erosion sections of previous images emerge through the upper layer.

The artwork Elpis is part of the exhibition Methamorphoses. The exhibition refers to the enrichment of form changes by influence of time, natural transformations, the stages from child to maturity, from one generation to the next and the changes that appear while creating a painting.

The abstract evocative compositions by Linda Overzee excite the imagination to seeing everyone’s own story.
